2 Cards / 1 Stamp

I'll keep this short & sweet. Just posting a couple of cards that I made with this very adoreable Sugar Nellie stamp (Sweet Art Ebony, called "Reflective").

On this first card I used the Nestibilities to cut & layer; then added the Martha Stewart picket fence punch & layered it with 2 pieces of satin ribbon. Silk ribbon was threaded through the ribbon tag & a couple of brads & Prima Flowers were added to finish it off.

Second card is much the same except I did a little bit of sewing & added a few dew drops. The DP on both is Cosmo Cricket & both are coloured with Copic markers.

I know I'll be making a lot more with this little cutie!!

Love Quote Stamps

I'm not sure what I'm thinking when I buy so many "quote" stamps. Beyond appreciating the beautiful words and the fun of finding a matching imaging to go with it...... I find them less then functional as cards when trying to figure out who to give them to. But I love a good quote! Just something short and sweet to make you think or go, "awwww". (But not much good for Birthdays or Get Well - lol!!)

One of my favorite quotes is this beautiful one by Helen Keller. I thought this little Sugar Nellie was a great match for the words.

So, nothing fancy here, just some basic layering, spellbinder nestibilities, a little vellum and of course (as always)... coloured with Copic markers.

Quote: "The best & most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart." Helen Keller

Thanks for checking in!

Beautiful Spring

When I first saw this gorgeous patterned paper I had to have it (& I don't just mean 1 sheet). Then I flipped it over and thought what the heck am I going to do with that... it's GRAPH paper?! So after playing with it a bit, I ended up really liking the affect of both together. The DP is Cosmo Cricket - Girl Friday (Wednesday).

I thought this little Sugar Nellie stamp went so well with the sentiment about Spring. She is coloured with copics & cut out with Nestibilites. (The Prima flowers are great for hiding sewing machine mistakes...)

Stamps: Sugar Nellie, sentiment is PSX
Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Marigold Moring, Gina K Pure Luxury White
Assessories: Prima Flowers, Dew Drops, satin ribbon,

Sugar Nellie Thoughts of You

I didn't have the chance to make anything tonight so I'm posting a card a made a couple of weeks ago with Daisy when I received my first batch of Sugar Nellies in the mail from Scotland. This one is my absolutely favorite stamp - she actually reminds me so much of my youngest niece.

Now, I'm going to try and remember the DP's... I believe both are October Afternoon. The flourish in the background is a dye (that I made a bunch of) a couple of years ago at my LSS... I kind of like how it wrapped around Daisy.

Copics were used for colouring with a bit of ribbon and dew drops added at the end. I love how the ribbon matched the DP!

Stamps: Sugar Nellie, sentiment is from a cute mini clear set (I think is "Studio C")
Paper: October Afternoon, Choc Chip, Gina K Pure Luxury White, yellow Bazzel
Assessories: May Arts ribbon, dew drops
Tools: Copic markers, SU! scallop punch, Spellbinders, sewing machine
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Ruby Red

Kick Up Your Heels!!

Gotta love Stella - she's one happenin' chick!! I stamped the inside to make it into a birthday card, but it could have many other uses.

I just loved the sunny & festive feel of this Bo Bunny paper, so I didn't want to add any more colours - just kept it simple.

The sentiment is from a clear Hero Arts set that comes with a bunch of high heels - but I thought it would go well with this Stella image.

Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Hero Arts clear set
Paper: Bo Bunny, Barely Banana, Gina K Pure Luxury White
Assessories: SU ribbon, dew drops, Memento Tuxedo Black ink

Be Yourself

Another Sugar Nellie post and using a bit more of the Fancy Pants DP that I used in my last card... except this time you can actually see the DP. I thought these Hero Arts felt flowers (self-adhesive) went great with the paper so I used two from my "horded" stash. 8)

I absolutely love these little pastel button babies that I ordered from Gina K --- I'm a real sucker for embellishments - just gotta have 'em!!

Paper: Fancy Pants, Really Rust, Gina K Pure Luxury White

Friends

I make a lot of friend cards so I couldn't resist getting this stamp from Stamping Bella. After I coloured these gals up I didn't have much in the way of matching paper until so I was happy to find this dp from "October Afternoon" - it has every colour I used... love it when that happens! The sentiment is from an SU! set I got ages ago (can no longer remember the name).

Hope you're having a great weekend!

A Birthday In Style

Instyle Stamps. If you love the retro look, you'll love these stamps! They are so much fun.
I kept the layout & colours pretty simple because I wanted to keep the focal point on the image. I coloured her up with Copic markers, used my spellbinders to cut & emboss the center frames (and the flowers) and added a little bling.
And then........ I ordered more.....
Stamps: Instyle, Papertrey Ink
Embellishments: Satin, Slik & Sheer ribbon, dewdrop, prima flower, brad.
Paper: Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday, Bazzel Yellow, Gina K Pure Luxury white cardstock

Happy Birthday David !!

Entering Blog World...

My first official post in the Wonderful World of Bloggers. I've spent so much time reading other card & craft blogs, I finally became tempted to try one myself.

So in my first experimental post, I've chosen a card that I recently made for my brother's birthday. Coloured with copic markers with a little machine stitching... no bling... just kept pretty simple.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this blogging adventure takes me and I'm excited to finally be here!

Ingredients:
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Papertrey Ink
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury, Bazzel Brown, DP
Embellishments: Dewdrops
