A Little Testosterone

Time for A MAN CARD. No cutzie, no pink, no ribbon, no flowers (okay... maybe a little cutzie....it is from Stamping Bella after all...).

I had fun doing a little paper piecing and paper piercing (...say that 10 times fast...) on this one. Haven't done either in a while.

This card is for my brother-in-law and I need to be at our family party in an hour. Nothing like last minute!!

So on that note.......... HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY!!
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Paper Trey Ink (sentiment)

Tools: Copic markers, MS Edge Punch, Spellbinders Nestibilities & ribbon label

I Should Have Known

Don't think I'll ever get tired of using this great stamp from Sugar Nellie (Sweet Art Ebony, called "Reflective"). Isn't she adoreable?

So here's the thing... flowers & plants... they hate me. No, I don't take it personally at all. They see me coming and they know it means their imminent death. Even the slightest sideways glance can cause a slow and painful death for anything that flowers. Long story short... this is my first attempt with flower soft. And... probably my last attempt with flower soft. I was enticed to buy some after seeing beautiful results on SCS and other blogs, but I think I'm living some horrible "serial-killer-flower-karma" and anywhere I add the stuff, I destroy. So there's a tiny bit on this card (mostly what I couldn't scrape off). 8)

I seem to use a bit of everything on this card so I'll list the supplies below.

Stamps: Sugar Nellie
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White, Cosmo Cricket DP, Choc Chip, Baja Breeze & Marigold Morning
Assessories: Prima flower, ribbons , dew drops, pearls, flower soft
Tools: Copic markers, Edge Punch, sewing maching
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Makes Life So Sweet

Another quick card with this gorgeous Scenic Route paper.
I bought the Spellbinder frame ages ago and it just didn't seem to go with anything I was working on... so there it sat. When I came across one of my favorite Emily Dickinson quotes, it fit perfectly. The center is popped up with foam tape and the frame itself is on brown Bazzel.
I kept the layout pretty simple - just a few pearls, ribbon & a couple of Spellbinder flowers. The edge punch at the bottom is from Martha Stewart.
Well that's it from me. I'm racing through this post so that I can make a b-line to the sofa for the season finale of The Bachelorette. So there - I've admitted it! But it's so good!!!!! What's up with Reid coming back anyway?!! Hmmmm........ (he's my favorite by the way, but something tells me he won't get picked.) Oh gawd!! 10 minutes... where's the popcorn???!!
Stamps: Wordsworth
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, Scenic Route, Bazzel brown
Assessories: Adhesive pearls, May Arts polka dot ribbon,
Tools: NO COPIC MARKERS (can't believe it), Spellbinders Frame, flowers are also from Spellbinders, MS edge punch
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Together Forever

Q: What could be better then a Sunday morning with a huge Tim Horton's coffee and hours & hours to blow in your craft room?
A: Nuttin.

I finally inked up one of my Instyle stamps that I bought ages ago and paired it up with this awesome Scenic Route designer paper. I'm definitely a fan of pink & orange so I kept the other colours to a minimum.

Well now that I'm back, I will definitely be posting more regularly. I have so many more cards to make... there's a baby due date I know of.... a couple of anniversaries are coming... a birthday card... okay; I better get busy.

Bye for now - and as always thanks for stopping by!!

Stamps: InStyle, sentiment = Paper Trey Ink

Well I'm finally back after a couple of weeks. It's so nice to be back at home and to be able to walk down the hall to my Craft Room. I was up early today and have been making cards like crazy.

While I was away I received 2 amazing awards - so cool! The first is from my friend Vicki whom I've know for a few years now and is a fantastic stamper.

THANK YOU VICKI!!

So my sister Denise stopped by the other night to try out my newest Copic colours. She had just received her order in the mail from Magnolia so she had stamped one of her favorite images a few times and brought it with her. While she coloured one up, I played with my nieces and learned a great deal about twirling a batton... with your eyes closed... (very important not to be near any glass or crystal during this last part).

Denise only coloured one and after she & my nieces left I noticed I had a bunch of little Tilda just sitting on my craft desk without colour. Doing the "decent" thing (lol), I got out my Copics and brought one little Tilda to life. It's weird that I used purple, because I'm not a fan of purple. I did have a couple of sheets of this Wisteria so I thought I'd finally cut into it.

You'll see in this picture that Tilda's wings are bare of colour. When I gave her some glitter (because she can't fly without it), my camera sighed it's last breath & I can't take a replacement photo until I replace the batteries.

By the way, those beautiful pearls that my good friend Pauline sent me... I can't seem to do them justice at all. They are in a beautiful flourish pattern on the package and I'm all thumbs, glue and frustration when I go to put them in place. Anyone have any tricks for this?
Stamps: Magnolia, sentiment = Stampendous

Assessories: Want2Scrap adhesive pearls, flowers (also from Pauline!!) sheer ribbon, dew drops

Short & Sweet

SWEEEEET!!! (said like a 16 year old who just scored tickets to a rock concert). And that's exactly what she is.... sweet. For those of you who don't know her, this is "Amplee-tude" from Stamping Bella. I think she's just the cutest thing.

I didn't have papers picked out ahead of time so I was just colouring away with my Copics and left myself the job afterwards to find something to match. I wish I knew the name of the DP, but it came from my scrap pile.

I don't have any Stamping Bella sentiments, so I used my new set from Gina K, "Sweetest Blessings". There's a few sentiments from Gina's set that are perfect for little Miss Amplee-tude.

I found the felt floral ribbon (not sure what to call it) at my LSS and I love it!! I'm sure my next 10 cards will have lime green of some sort so that I get to use this again & again.

Stamps: Stamping Bella, Gina K
Paper: Gina K Pure Luxury White cardstock, DP (name?)
Assessories: Felt floral ribbon, dew drops, pearls
Tools: Copic markers, Edge Punch, Spellbinders Nestibilities
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Cat Crazy

For those of you who know me well, know how much I love animals... especially cats... especially my cat for sure! My siamese cat, Bailey, is 18 years old; knows all my secrets and is a great snuggler. I'm also sucker for all those forwarded e-mails with cute animals pictures of kittens curled up in sneakers, etc. Anyway, maybe it's my love of cats that prompted me to make so many cat cards... or maybe I was just too darn lazy to stamp anything else to colour...... (don't tell them Bailey, hee, hee).

The challenge after colouring & sorting through papers was: what sentiments to use for this cat & mouse team??? A while ago I bought a clear set of Technique Tuesday, "Loving Words by Ali Edwards"... which I used on the green & the blue. With the pink card I went with a Penny Black friendship quote. All images were cut out with Spellbinder Nestibilities and there's a big mish-mash of papers, which I will list below. I will just list the embellishments as best I can to include all 4, but if there is something you are wondering about... please leave me a comment and I will get back to you with an answer.
Well that's it for me on this Amazing Sunday - what great weather! (yeahhhh!!!) Time to clean the house (booooooo).

Stamps: Sugar Nellie, Penny Black
Paper: (Green & Pink: Cosmo Cricket) (Blue: Memory Box) (Brown: October Afternoon) and of course Gina K Pure Luxury White
Assessories: Hero Arts felt flowers, various ribbon (silk, grosgrain, sheer, SU! stitched), dew drops, Prima flowers, brads, pearls
Tools: Copic markers, Edge Punches, Spellbinders Nestibilities
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black

Stamping Bella Challenge

Well I entered my very first challenge over at Stamping Bella. Linda came up with a really fun sketch challenge so I had to try it. You should check out the rest of the amazing cards that were submitted - there's so many!!

My background circle could be a lot more prominent, but it just got lost with everything I piled on top & probably the colour choice as well. I love this Presentabella image and tried to add some motion to it by adding small Bella Dots.
Overall I think I went a bit "dotty". The background DP is full of circles/dots... as is the ribbon... as is the swiss cheese edge punch I used on the Whisper White c/s. I couldn't see straight when I was finished. 8)
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is PaperTrey Ink
Paper: Lime Rickey, Really Rust, Gina K Pure Luxury White, Whisper White, Cameo Coral
Assessories: May Arts polka dot ribbon, Bella dots, Prima flower, brads, silk ribbon
Tools: Copic markers, EK Success Edge Punch, Spellbinders, Cuttlebug folder
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
