Lovely Lotus

Have you seen the new Prima papers? The Flights of Fancy Collection is gorgeous! And me with my butterfly addiction.......hoo-yah.......match made in heaven.

I used the Spellbinder Lotus Pendant to border the center circle... and then popped the center out of the circle for the Hero Arts birthday sentiment. Used the Martha Stewart garden trellis punch for the bottom and glittered up a butterfly as an afterthought. 8)

Is there a better way to say thank you then with a HAT?! LOL! This is one of those cards where I was dying to use this great Plum Purdy stamp but didn't know what sentiment to put with it and needed something that basically just FIT! 8)

I'm happy with how it turned out though... I like the colours and I love the Spellbinder Label 13 - wasn't really sure how I would use it when I bought it, but it's slowly becoming one of my favs.

Missing You

I thought this would make a nice "Missing You" card. Without any copic lovin... this was a very fast card. Not dissin' the Copics, they just sure take a long time (for me).

I just used a small portion of the MS deep edge Garden Trellis punch to border two edges. A little Mellow Moss was sponged around both the edges of the image & sentiment. A quick sewing job finished it off. I like the way it turned out except that it's a bit dark a gloomy I think. That's just my love of the Jillibean papers.... maybe I'll try this again with some brighter, more "happy" paper. 8)

I was inspired by Loretta's beautiful card to enter the OCC Challenge. I recently bought this Inkadinkadoo butterfly clear set and it took 2 seconds to colour up with copics (badda-boom-badda-bing).
