Have you seen the stamps by Rheea at Stamping Bella?!! OMG I freakin love them!! (aka... I will eventually buy them all). Here's Climb On by Rheea...
This great quote by Martin Luther King Jr. comes with as well. I coloured the viola with copics and covered with Glossy Accents to make it really shiny (but wasn't able to capture that in the picture).
I wanted to rough up the image a bit to match the style of drawing so I used my edge distresser and went to town. Also rolled back several of the layers.
The inside is quite simple and so I stamped the viola again and cut it out to bring the theme inside as well. This was easy-peasy for cutting out (because if it's difficult... aka "no fun" I just won't do it....lol). So that's means I must try paper piecing with this stamp set next - oh yeah!

Oh! Before I forget, a note about "comment moderation". I know, I don't like it either, but lately I've been getting spammed for some reason and keep having to go in and delete comments that are pushing unrelated products of one kind or another. So I've had to enable Comment Moderation which means when you leave a comment (and I love it when you do!!) that it won't appear right away, but I do receive them all and publish them as soon as I sit at my computer. So mwah!! to you for your encouragement... I really appreciate it.
Well I'm off to work on Bellariffic Friday's Birthday Theme challenge card. Don't forget to e-mail your card to Emily by Thursday night if you want to play along. Hope to see you there!!
'Till next time,
Carla.

Another fabulous card Carla. Love all the distressing on this and all the extra details.
I L-O-V-E how you dress up the inside of your cards!
Beautifully colored, love the notebook edge, and great papers! Love your new blog photo, too, Carla. :)
I love this card, it has so many interesting details. xx Flora
Look at that wonderful viola! It looks great, Carla :) I can see why you want ALL the stamps. He he!
Thank you for my welcome home, by the way. We had a marvelous time.
I never tire of seeing that notebook edge. It's one of my favorites to use, but it's that image of the viola (looks larger than a violin) is what stole my heart.
