My Prince Will Come...... maybe.

Hey bloggers!!  Welcome back for another Bellariffic Friday Sketch Challenge.  This was a pretty easy one as it goes and I chose to use Cinderella by Mo Manning

I'm not sure why this very pink Cosmo Cricket paper is showing up more as red in my photo, when it's actually more the colour of the ribbon.  Huh.  (oh well...)

Oh this sentiment sums me up perfectly - I must say!! LOL!!  And yes... I'm STILL waiting.  =)

This Mo Manning image already comes with a super cute sentiment:  "One SHOE can change your life."  I love that too.  =)

Be sure to join us next Friday for a Stamping Bella theme challenge:  Halloween (image or colours) Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend to all my Canadian friends.  Gobble Gobble.  ;)

Ho Ho Ho

Hello again!  Back today with one of my all-time-favorite stamps from Stamping Bella.  Love her so much that I had to stamp her twice in my card.  =)

So this is Polly Packages and she's freakin adoreable, don't you think???  I coloured her up with Copics and added Glossy Accents to her little Christmas package bundle.  I used velvet ribbon, sheer ribbon and lace on this card.  I also tried to add little snowflake die cuts, but it just felt like too much, so I left them in the picture anyway.... I'm not above using props to make my cards look better... lol.

Lots of glittler on the white snow flake die and on all of Polly's trim & scarf.  I absolutely love both sides of this Basic Grey "aspen frost" Christmas paper... and bought lots so I hope you don't get tired of it - lol.

And here's where I stamped Polly Packages again on the inside.  I used the MFT letter dies for "ho ho ho".

Now... a few important things before I forget:

Bellariffic Bling Friday

Happy Friday all!!  Glad you're back for Bellariffic Friday - this week's card was a "bling" theme, so I poured on the glitter and pearls!

I had no trouble matching up this gorgeous Uptown Girl Eve under the mistletoe with this Christmas music paper from Basic Grey (aspen frost).

I added glitter all around the Decorative Elements Labels 8 (made the frame by using regular Labels 8 on the inside) and of course lots of glitter added to the white trim of Eve's dress.  Roses are a mix of MFT's royal rose & mini rose dies.

I finished the inside with more of the same paper and a stamp from Quietfire Designs... I wanted a humerous card and I thought this was just the ticket.

Have a great Friday everyone!  Make sure you stop over at Bloggabella to check out all the Bella Bling cards for todays challenge.

Bye for now,
Carla.

Wait... A Birthday Card????

Of ALL the cards I make, I have little to show in the way of birthday... which I guess is the first occasion that comes to mind when you think of sending a one.  But... I couldn't resist Little Peep's Birthday Cake at Stamping Bella.

I didn't have to give much thought as to the "type" of cake... because for me there's no other kind but chocolate (although the pink icing I could take or leave...).

I glittered up the cake after colouring the image with Copics and layered onto Spellbinder dies.  I added little button brads that I stumbled across in my craft room (forgot I had) and made them flower centers.  The satin ribbon I tucked in behind the oval and let the tails trail out.

The sentiment is one that I've written down and keep in my little "sentiments I love archive" to use occasionally and print from the computer.  I love the cool font!

Stamps:

Stamping Bella: Little Peep's Birthday Cake

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Pebbles, Early Espresso, Whisper White

Dies:
Spellbinders - Marvelous Squares, Classic Ovals & Fleur de lis Squares

Copics:
E30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37, 57, 59

G94

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & SU's Certainly Celery (for shading)

Extras:
sewing, glitter, glossy accents, adhesive pearls, satin ribbon, button brads

Have a great rest of the week and THANK YOU for stopping in!!  Be sure to stop back on Friday for Bellariffic Friday's Bling Challenge.  Hope you get a chance to participate... be sure to e-mail your card to Emily by Thursday evening to enter for your chance to win some Bella Bucks.

See you then,
Carla.

Just a Note... Autumn Style

Hi again!  I'm overwhelmed with all the comments and visits to my blog lately.  Thank you so much!  Always nice to hear what you have to say.

Back today using Heritage Tree by Lulu from Stamping Bella

I love this sweet tree... and it's fast and easy to colour up as well.  I couldn't help but turn this into an Autumn card with the season upon us and all the colours right there for inspiration.  I used Glossy Accents on the trunk and glitter on all the leaves.

I'm loving my new Spellbinders as well from the most recent release... here I've used Marvelous Squares & Labels 26.  Those are keepers for sure!

I kept the inside with the same papers & once again used the same dies.

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Stamping Bella: Heritage Tree by Lulu

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, MME Quite Contrary & Basic Grey Picadilly

Bellariffic Friday... and a NEW STAMP!!

Welcome back to another Bellariffic Friday at Stamping Bella.  Today I have a sneak peek of a new Uptown Girl:  Bubbles has some bubbly... coming soon to the Stamping Bella store!!

Today's Bellariffic Friday consisted of a Sketch Challenge and as usual... I did not manage a perfect replica... as I put the sentiment on the inside instead (hanging head - lol).

Isn't she cute?!  And this sweet little tub is perfect for my Glossy Accents Addiction (GAA)... lol.  I glossed that bathtub until I needed sunglasses!  I love the smoothness of the gloss when it dries... so, yeah... I'm addicted

I finished the inside and used one of Bella's sentiments that I thought went nicely with the image.  I have this card in mind for a very special friend at work who could use a little lift.  I'm pairing it up with a big bottle of Bubblebath for her.

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Stamping Bella:  Uptown Girl - Bubbles has some bubbly
and also the sentiment on the inside, "don't worry be happy"... but I don't see it in the store right now.

Quinn in her boots...

Hi there!  Back tonight with one of my all-time favorite BellasUptown girl Quinn in her boots

Can you tell I'm on this "pleat kick" lately?  I just want to add pleats and creases to everything - LOL.

Quinn looked cold, so I gave her some lovely warm colours.

I tried out my new Spellbinder dies "decorative labels eight" and combined them with my good 'ol reliable "labels ten".   The patterned paper is from 7 gypsies and I stamped Quinn on Bella's Bestest Paper & used SU Early Espresso & Whisper White for my background labels.  Each layer is propped up with dimensionals.  A little Martha Stewart piped nylon ribbon & bling finished it off.

Now I'm racing off to the 'ol boob-tube to watch the Season Finale of Big Brother.  I know, I know... but I'm a hopeless addict.  (And I'm routing for Ian!!)

Night everyone!!
Carla.

Bellariffic Friday: Buttons or Bows

Hi there!  Welcome back for another Bellariffic Friday - this week's Stamping Bella's theme challenge was to use buttons or bows:

I used one of my favorite Uptown Girls:  Brigitte the beautiful bride.  I used the Spellbinder oval die to cut the portion I wanted from Brigitte (actually her dress is much longer) and then layer her under a frame made from Spellbinder Labels 13 & Floral Florishes dies.

My bow is made from tulle (received from my good friend Gabriella... thanks G!!) and the white buttons are tiny button brads which I've had forever and a day.

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Stamping Bella: Brigitte the beautiful bride

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Carta Bella "beautiful" & SU's Whisper White

Dies:
SB - Classic Edges 1, Labels 13, Classic Ovals large, Floral Flourishes

Punch - Martha Stewart lattice

Copics:

Head over the Bloggabella to take a peek at all the button & bow creations and have a great Friday everyone!

Till next time,

Lucille sends her love

Quick card from me tonight.  Here's Lucille sends her love.  Well, actually not a quick card as much as a quick post (too embarrassed to admit how long it took me to colour this up with my Copics - lol!!).  I'm no speedy with those things, that's for sure.

I love the affect of the glossy accents on the hearts and I couldn't resist adding glitter to her dress.

My favorite of all my Copics are the "E's" so I've indulged and coloured her completely in E shades with the exception of R20 for her cheeks.

I've added the sentiment (that's included with Lucille) by cutting it out with an MFT die (scalloped ribbon).

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Stamping Bella:  Lucille sends her love

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, MME "signature suite", Basic Grey "curio" and Very Vanilla.

Dies:
SB - labels 10
MFT - ribbon scallop

Copics:
R20
E000, 01, 02
E11, 13, 15, 17

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Ink "antique linen"

Extras:
Prima flower, Hero Arts flower, glitter, glossy accents, brown adhesive pearl, sewing, glue pen

That's it from me........ badda boom... badda bing!

Feelin Frilly...

...well... more "flourish-y" (if that's a word - and I doubt it is, lol), but I just had a hankerin' to go all flourishes & pearls on this one.

I used the exact same stamp as with this card... and even some of the same paper; guess I should clean up my craft desk a little more often.  8)

I love this Verve stamp of a Winnie the Pooh quote because it reminds me of my two little sweet nieces... not that they are things... but you know what I mean.

I took a side pic of all the layers... what the heck did we do before foam tape?!!

I sponged the edges of the paper (with Memento Grey Flannel) after distressing and then rolled up the 4 corners.  I once again used the Vintage Labels 10 stamps from Waltzing Mouse as two of my layers.  Love love love adding subtle colour with these stamps!!

Feeling a bit out of touch at the moment - I'm missing my e-mail at home which is still down and now my phone is out.  It's funny how much we rely on these things.  Thank goodness for blogs & facebook!  LOL

Thanks for stopping by again today and I do love hearing what you think of my cards - especially today since I'm certainly not hearing from anyone else!  haha

Stamps:

Verve - Smallest Things
Waltzingmouse Stamps - Vintage Labels 10

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, SU's Whisper White & Basic Grey, Basic Grey "Basics", Pebbles "Country Picnic"

Dies:
SB - labels 10 & floral flourishes

Ink: SU Mauve Mist, Memento Tuxedo Black & Grey Flannel

Extras:
adhesive pearls, sewing, SU basic grey ribbon

Bye for now! Carla.

It's that time again!!

I love Bellariffic Friday!!  But ... this one?  Not so much... it marks the end of my vaaa-caaaaay!!  (yes, that was me crying).

But what an incredible week it's been.  Love having time off work to relax, regroup and recharge.  For me that's reading and making cards... and doing both to excess.  It fits the budget too - lol.  (Actually the budget probably is the way it is because of what I spend on craft supplies.)

So now I'll stop gabbing and show you my take on today's Bellariffic Sketch Challenge:

Sweet sketch - lots of possibilities.  I used Veronica by Mo Manning from Stamping Bella. She comes as a set with the sentiment... and I chose to use the first part on the front and the rest on the inside.  Love breaking stamps up like that.

Can you tell I found my stash of pearls?!  Yep, probably a little overboard but does Veronica look like she does anything by halvesNope

As you can tell I paper pieced her dress (and was tempted to make it longer - hee, hee).  I also popped up the gift bag & gift box with foam tape and gave them each a bit of glitter. I also stamped the small present one more time to add to the inside:

Stamps:

Stamping Bella: Veronica by Mo Manning (includes sentiment)

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Jillibean (pink) & Creative Imaginations (green)

Dies:
SB... classic oval, labels 4, classic edges 1 (scallop)
Memory Box...meridian border
MFT... royal roses
Punch... Martha Stewart leaf

Copics:
E000, 01, 02
R20, 81, 85
E30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 37
YG11, 13, 25

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress spun sugar

Extras:
sewing machine, adhesive pearls, glitter, foam tape, Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder

Have a lovely Friday everyone.  Don't forget to head over to Bloggabella to check out all the enteries and if you didn't get a chance to enter a card for your chance to win $20 in Bella bucks, then be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win $10 in Bella bucks.  Next week is a theme challenge... "use buttons or bows".  Easy peasy.. I might even add a few pearls... if there's any left by then.  ;)   So... what to do on my last day off... well... I think I'll make a card!!  8)   Till next time, Carla.

WMSC113

Hello!  I'm back to try another Waltzingmouse Challenge again today.  I used one of my favorite sets that coordinates beautifully with Spellbinders... Vintage Labels 10.

For the largest of the label 10 dies, I used white ink on craft paper and then the next two layers both use SU Mauve Mist.  Love the soft vintage designs of these stamps!!  Of the sentiment sets that I have from WMS, I didn't have anything that would fit inside of the smallest dies, so I went with one I had from Verve.

Because I used Pebbles "new arrival" paper with birds, I thought I would just complete the card with a bird theme and so added the Poppystamps dies (vintage bird cage & nestled bird).

I stuck to the sketch as much as possible - I'm terrible for never getting them exact.  But I'm happy with the turn out.  Here's the inside with the little birdcage:

Stamps:

Waltzingmouse Stamps - Vintage Labels 10
Verve - Smallest Things
Just Rite - Classic Lace Edges Two

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Basic Grey "basics", Pebbles "new arrival" & "country picnic"

Dies:
SB - classic edges 2, labels 10, floral flourishes
MFT - rolled rose, squiggle border
Memory Box - meridian border
Poppystamps - vintage bird cage & nestled bird

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & SU Mauve Mist, Colorbox frost white

Extras:
adhesive pearls, sewing, pink ric rack

Well that's it for me.  Back tomorrow for Bellariffic Friday!!  If you'd like to enter, be sure to e-mail your card to Emily tonight.  See you then!!

Carla.

You Matter

Morning!  Just tried another card with my new Verve set "Words of Wisdom".  Love the simple but important messages in this set.

I felt like getting a little "frilly with it" so out came the Fleur de Lis Spellbinder die.  I remember when this die first came out - I couldn't sleep!  LOL!!  I just had to have it with every fiber of my being.  Crazy, eh?!  Now I still love it... but I have to laugh at myself sometimes.

Once again I used the Spellbinder Fancy Tags 2 die & Just Rite coordinating stamps (stamped in SU Mauve Mist).  I also finished inside with another stamp from the set.

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Verve - Words of Wisdom
Just Rite - Classic Lace Edges Two

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Basic Grey "Little Black Dress", Whisper White, Basic Grey

Dies:
SB - blossom tags, parisian accents, fleur de lis pendant & classic edges 2
MFT - rolled rose

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & SU Mauve Mist, Memento Grey Flannel (sponged)

Extras:
adhesive pearls, sewing, SU 1/2" basic grey ribbon, felt, pin

Love reading your comments, so thank you for leaving them.  Hope you enjoy your day... that's "hump day" for you worker bees... which will be me again next week.

But for now, I'm still "va-cay-ing"....  8)

Till next time,
Carla.

Verve - Words of Wisdom

Well I guess it took a few days off work for me to crack open my new Verve set "Words of Wisdom" - omg love it!.  I seem to make more and more of these inspiring and encouraging cards lately... maybe I secretly make them for me because I love the messages (and need to hear it).

I wanted to do something soft & pretty and take a break from colouring.  I stamped the sentiment in Color Box frost white onto SU Crumb Cake cardstock and then lightly sponged around the edges.

The lacy edges were added using Spellbinders Classic Edges Two dies & Just Rite coordinating stamps.  Again stamped in white.  Love making different lace borders from these sets.  Endless possibilities.  Added a bit of real lace and of course lots of pearls.  I love the soft & pretty look so much.

I finished the inside with a bit more of the patterned paper & another bit of the "lace paper".  I made up a bunch so I have it on hand for future cards.  8)

SUPPLIES USED:

Stamps:
Verve - Words of Wisdom
Just Rite - Classic Lace Edges Two

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, MME "On the bright side"

Dies:
SB - fancy tags 2 & classic edges 2
MFT - vertical greetings

Copics:
omg..........none!!

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black & Colour Box frost white

Extras:
lace, hero arts flowers, pearls, sewing, linen thread x 2
Well it's a vacation week for me and it's rainy and gloomy today.  But a rainy gloomy day at home is always better then a rainy gloomy day at work. Am I right?!   Until next time, Carla.

Dropping you a line

Hi again - just popping in to "drop you a line" on Labour Day.  I've coloured up sweet little Ramona Fishing and popped her into a card.

I love this Stamping Bella image, but have some regrets about adding so much to the card that she kind of misses her spotlight.  Just got a little carried away I think.  But simple or not... she's getting glossy accents - that's a given.  lol.

For the inside I stamped the fishing pole portion and added the sentiment that comes with Ramona:

Now I'm off to come up with something for this Bellariffic Friday's sketch.... and here she is:

Looks pretty easy!  So I'm off to give it a try.  Hope you will too for a chance to win $20 in Bella Bucks.

Here's the supplies I used in today's card:

Stamps:

Stamping Bella:  Ramona Fishing

Paper:
Bella's Bestest paper, Early Espresso, Marigold Mornng, MME "So Sofie" & Graphic 45.

Back to School

I do love seeing kids on their first day back... a bundle of nerves and all dressed in their new clothes (or in my case it was a uniform... a kilt).  The kids get photographed on front porches with brand new lunch bags and pencil cases.  And then another year begins.

No kids for me... but I do have 2 incredible nieces that I will watch go off to school on Tuesday and I'm off work that day, so I'm excited about their big day.

For Stamping Bella's the 'Back to School' theme today I chose to use Bye Bye Girl by Mo Manning.  I love her little ladybug backpack.

I coloured her up with Copics and used some of the Cosmo Cricket "measuring up" to add some numbers as well as MME "dilly dally".  This was an odd choice for me actually - numbers were never my choice in school.  Still aren't... unless it's patterned paper of course... lol.

I curled & distressed the edges of the diagonal piece for a little worn out scribbler look.  Anyone still call them scribblers?!!  LOL!  For me they'd start out so neat & tidy on the first page and then barely legible towards the end (and full of doodles & Holly Hobbies).

And as always my Glossy Accents had to sneak in there somewhere.  I thought she deserved a shiny new backpack... and of course glittler on the furry collar.  8)

Finished the inside with more of the numbered papers and again kept this without sentiment in case I use it for other purposes.

So!  On that note, I wish you all a happy first-day-back as parents and for those of you who are able to wave the school bus off... are you running back home to make cards with your free time?!!  lol

Check out the other Back to School cards at Bloggabella to see what the rest of the team has come up with.  Be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win Bella bucks!!
