Wait... A Birthday Card????

Of ALL the cards I make, I have little to show in the way of birthday... which I guess is the first occasion that comes to mind when you think of sending a one.  But... I couldn't resist Little Peep's Birthday Cake at Stamping Bella.

I didn't have to give much thought as to the "type" of cake... because for me there's no other kind but chocolate (although the pink icing I could take or leave...).

I glittered up the cake after colouring the image with Copics and layered onto Spellbinder dies.  I added little button brads that I stumbled across in my craft room (forgot I had) and made them flower centers.  The satin ribbon I tucked in behind the oval and let the tails trail out.

The sentiment is one that I've written down and keep in my little "sentiments I love archive" to use occasionally and print from the computer.  I love the cool font!

Yes-chocolate cake and chocolate icing is what I had last week for the big birthday. Your card is lovely-the layers are beautiful, crisp and clean and I think I am adding that sentiment to my list, too. Thanks for the inspiration

He he! Cake eating day! That's what birthdays should be called instead! Love those flower button brads, and the card sure is cute. I love chocolate too and also eat every bit of icing, whatever the colour :)

Have a great day!
